Construction is the process of constructing a building or infrastructure within a building, for example: an in-law suite or a walk in closet. Construction starts with planning, design, and financing; and continues until the project is built and ready for use.

Remodeling often referred to as Renovation is the process of changing, replacing or upgrading to something newer. Home improvement can be projects that upgrade an existing home interior (such as electrical and plumbing), exterior (masonry, concrete, siding, roofing), or other improvements to the home such as a new kitchen.
